About the Role
Seeking.com is the world's largest premium dating platform, founded and led by an MIT alumnus and headquartered in Las Vegas.
We are hiring a Project Manager to join our Program Management team, reporting directly to the Co-CEOs. You will work side by side with our Director of Program Management, the senior member of the team, and take full ownership of a slate of live projects across engineering, product, AI, and marketing.
Your job is delivery. You take each project from intake to closeout: scope, plan, schedule, risks, dependencies, status, and the retrospective at the end. On any project you own, leadership always knows where it stands and the team always knows what happens next.
Technical work runs in Jira. Marketing work runs in Monday. Documentation lives in Confluence. You work fluently across all three.
Who Should Apply
We are especially open to candidates from these backgrounds:
- Project Managers at software, digital, or product companies who have run several concurrent projects and can show the numbers they moved
- Technical Project Managers who have delivered engineering work and are comfortable coordinating with marketing
- Agency or professional services Project Managers who have owned SOWs, scope changes, and client reporting and want to go in-house
- Marketing or Growth Operations professionals who have grown into full-lifecycle project ownership
Titles vary. A track record of shipping on time is the bar.
What You'll Find on Day One
- Operations and technical teams actively running their work in Jira, with sprints, boards, and owners in place
- A backlog of legacy epics from projects abandoned as far back as seven years ago, ready to be reviewed and cleaned up
- Marketing projects running in Monday, with hand-offs to engineering that need a clear owner
- A draft intake and governance framework that needs to be tested on real projects
- A Director of Program Management as your senior teammate, and Co-CEOs who read project status every week
- Permission to fix what you find. If a workflow is slowing delivery, you change it.
What You'll Own
Project Delivery, End to End
- Own a slate of concurrent projects from intake through closeout. Write the project charter for each: objective, success metric, sponsor, scope, milestones, and budget where one applies.
- Break scope into a work breakdown, a realistic schedule, and a critical path. Keep baselines honest as the work evolves.
- Choose the delivery approach that fits the work: predictive, Agile, or hybrid.
- Run kickoffs, working sessions, and project standups for the projects you own. Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives where a team needs them.
- Close every project with a retrospective and a lessons-learned entry in Confluence.
Scope, Change, and Risk Control
- Guard scope. Every change request gets a written impact on timeline, cost, and resources, and a named decision-maker.
- Maintain a RAID log (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) for every project. Surface each risk early with a proposed mitigation.
- Map dependencies between engineering and marketing and resolve them before they become blockers.
- Manage vendor and contractor deliverables against their statements of work.
Status, Reporting, and Stakeholder Communication
- Publish a weekly status for each project: health, progress against milestones, risks, and decisions needed. Short, specific, and read once.
- Feed accurate project-level data into the portfolio view the Director of Program Management presents to the Co-CEOs.
- Tailor communication to the audience. An engineer, a marketer, and a Co-CEO each get the level of detail they need.
- Escalate early when a project is at risk. Bring the problem, the options, and your recommendation.
Tool Hygiene and Process Improvement
- Keep every project you own clean in Jira and Monday: named owners, due dates, current status, and a definition of done.
- Lead the cleanup of legacy epics from abandoned projects. Confirm status with the original teams, archive or close what is finished or dead, and re-plan anything that still matters.
- Apply the draft intake and governance framework on live projects and report back on what works and what needs to change.
- Build templates, checklists, and runbooks so each new project starts faster than the last.
Supporting the OKR Cadence
- Link each of your projects to the Key Result it serves, so every project has a clear line to a company objective.
- Support the Director of Program Management in running quarterly OKR planning and weekly check-ins in Monday: prepare the data, collect updates, and track follow-ups to closure.
Required Qualifications
- Three or more years of hands-on project management experience delivering software, digital, or marketing projects, with several projects running at once.
- A delivery record you can quantify. On-time rates, cycle times, defect rates, or budget performance you improved, and by how much.
- Command of core project management practice: charters, schedules, critical path, RAID logs, change control, and stakeholder management.
- Comfortable running Agile, predictive, and hybrid delivery, and choosing the right approach for the work.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and a work management platform such as Monday or Asana. You will operate fluently in Jira, Monday, and Confluence within your first 60 days.
- Accountability with warmth. You hold engineers, marketers, and leaders to their commitments, and they come away feeling helped. References on this will be checked.
- Clear, concise writing. Your status updates and meeting notes stand on their own.
- Business acumen. You understand why each project matters to the company and you manage toward that outcome.
- Comfortable owning OKR-linked work. You know the difference between an activity and an outcome, and you can tie a project to the Key Result it moves.
- AI fluency. You use Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools every day to draft status updates, summarize meetings, and analyze project data, and you can describe the workflows you have built.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification
- Experience at a consumer subscription, marketplace, or high-growth digital product company
- Experience managing vendor or agency work: SOWs, change orders, and deliverable reviews
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, or a similar process improvement method
- Experience configuring Jira or Monday workflows, automations, and dashboards
- Experience at a founder-led company where process is being built alongside the work
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Critical Success Factors
- Reliable Delivery. Projects you own land on the committed date, or leadership knew early why the date moved.
- Visibility. Anyone can open Jira or Monday and see the true status of your projects.
- Scope Discipline. Every change goes through a decision. Scope creep gets named and priced.
- Accountability With Warmth. You hold the line and people thank you for it.
- One Team. You and the Director of Program Management operate as a single unit. You carry delivery so the team can invest in planning and governance.
- Bias to Ship. You stand up a working plan this week and improve it next week.
- Written Discipline. Every meeting has an outcome. Every decision has an owner and a date. Everything lives in Confluence.
- AI as Leverage. You use AI to move faster and you verify what it produces.
Cultural Fit: Who Thrives Here
Be honest with yourself about whether this is your environment:
- You take ownership. When you see a stalled epic or a missing owner, you fix it.
- You ask the sharp question early and save the team a week of rework.
- You lead through influence. You get results from teams you do not manage.
- You are a builder. Configuring a Monday board, writing a runbook, or cleaning up a Jira workflow is comfortable ground.
- You believe in the brand. You understand that better execution translates directly into a better product and a better member experience.
- You want direct exposure to the Co-CEOs and a clear path to grow.
Day in the Life
- Morning scan of your projects in Jira and Monday. Flag anything at risk before standups start.
- Quick sync with the Director of Program Management on priorities and hand-offs for the day.
- Run a standup for a cross-functional launch and clear two blockers by lunch.
- Review a change request from marketing, write up its impact on the engineering timeline, and get a decision from the sponsor.
- Update RAID logs and send the weekly status for your active projects.
- Use Claude to draft meeting notes and the action list, then verify and send.
- Close out a finished project with a retrospective and a Confluence write-up.
How We Will Measure Success in the First 12 Months
- 30 days. Fluent in Jira, Monday, and Confluence. An initial slate of projects handed over from the Director of Program Management, each with a charter, named owner, schedule, RAID log, and weekly status.
- 90 days. A full slate of concurrent projects under your ownership. On-time milestone delivery tracked and trending up. Legacy epic cleanup complete, so Jira reflects only live work. The Director of Program Management has meaningful time back for OKR and governance work.
- 6 months. Stakeholders treat your status reports as the source of truth. The intake framework has been applied on live projects, with documented recommendations. Reusable templates and runbooks live in Confluence.
- 12 months. A full year of projects delivered with a clear, measurable record. You are ready to take on larger, higher-stakes initiatives on a path to Senior Project Manager.ƒGroth
